The Popular Show Campaign 4 Introduces the Soldiers Table

From the very beginning of the fourth campaign, new Dungeon Master the talented storyteller has kept fans guessing with deep backstory, a diverse cast of heroes, and a gripping narrative showcasing angels, fiends, and malevolent powers expanding in influence within the urban setting.

Heads-up: Key plot points for the latest installment of Campaign 4 lie ahead.

The Soldiers Table Revealed

The third episode finished on a huge suspense moment and presented the initial group of adventurers who will split off from the primary party to undertake their independent quest, separate from the other two tables.

This warrior group features Teor (played by the voice actor), the agile character (the talented performer), the strong-willed figure (the cast member), Wicander (the player), and Kattigan Vale (Robbie Daymond).

Why Split the Party?

Given an extensive roster, it was evident from the outset that maintaining everyone at one table would be unfeasible.

That’s why, the first four episodes of Campaign 4 serve as an Introduction, weaving together the individual narratives before splitting into three distinct groups: Soldiers, Strategists, and Explorers.

Characteristics of the Warrior Group

Per Brennan Lee Mulligan, the Soldiers table is for players who are drawn to a traditionally charged combat and conflict-driven gameplay experience where diplomatic options are rare.

At first glance, characters like the squeamish cleric the cleric might look out of place, but the events of the latest installment show why these five characters are best suited for the combat party.

Reasons to Leave

First, the party knows exactly where to proceed after a intense opening clash with the antagonists.

An old friend of Thjazi Fang—whose passing kicked off the narrative’s action—manipulated the foes for his personal gain, entering the secret base, assaulting Thimble, and swiping all the magical artifacts to dispose of.

The traitor then settled his obligations and escaped to a Halovar stronghouse in the northern region, beyond Dol-Makjar, with Cyd Pridesire pursuing him.

Character Drivers

Moreover, each character has a specific drive to exit the metropolitan area:

  • Thimble, as Thjazi’s partner and closest confidant, seeks revenge.
  • The adventurer knows Timmony and warns that it is a dangerous place.
  • The warrior and Wicander, having resisted his house’s orders to eliminate the fighter and instead rescued him, have no safe haven.
  • But, their position as prominent individuals in House Halovar could help the team enter areas they normally couldn’t.
  • Moreover, Teor vowed a life debt to Wicander for his deliverance and will now go with him anywhere.

Fugitives

Finally, all of them are sought by the powers that control Dol-Makjar for a range of causes, making lingering locally too risky:

  • Thimble and Kattigan are notorious outlaws.
  • Tyranny and The cleric defied House Halovar and the legion of demons they are partnered with.
  • The target is targeted for elimination by House Halovar.

This results in them little choice but to journey toward the northern region in pursuit of the traitor.

Future Episodes

From the recent installment’s post-show segment, we learn that the warrior group will be absent the following episode, leaving the other eight players to assemble the Seekers and Strategists groups.

Fans can anticipate finding out which characters will be assigned to which table in the season’s final introductory chapter, streaming live on the upcoming Thursday.
