'I'm fully all in with Bayern' - Kane reduces on Premier League comeback

Kane celebrates his 100th goal for Bayern Munich

Harry Kane has declared that his desire in coming back to the Premier League has faded and he is open to explore a new agreement with Bayern Munich.

The star striker is currently two years through the four-year agreement he inked when moving to from Tottenham Hotspur for 86.4 million pounds in the transfer window of 2023.

The 32-year-old forward has netted an outstanding 103 goals in 106 matches for the German side, helping them claim the 2024-25 Bundesliga championship - which marked the first significant trophy of his illustrious career.

Tottenham manager Thomas Frank has earlier stated that he would like to see Kane return to England, where he needs 48 goals to surpass Alan Shearer's record Premier League scoring feat of 260.

However, the England captain has now clarified that he is no longer as eager about going back home as he earlier was, and would certainly consider extending his time in Bavaria.

"In terms of extending longer, I could certainly see that," he commented.

"I spoke openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those conversations with Bayern yet, but if they were to come up I would be open to talk and have an honest conversation.

"Obviously it hinges on how the next year or so progresses and what we accomplish together. Right now, I would say we are in a superb moment and I am not thinking about anything else.

"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had asked me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.

"Now I have been there a couple of years I would perhaps say that has diminished a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.

"What I have realized in my career is that different options and different periods happen and things fall in place. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am fully all in with Bayern."

Milestone Achievements and Future Ambitions

Kane is the all-time top scorer for both Tottenham and England and not long ago became the speediest player this century to reach 100 goals for a club playing in one of Europe's top five divisions, attaining the achievement in just 104 games for Bayern.

However, a trophy had eluded him until he secured the German title last season.

Kane reveals that he was not sure how he would feel after breaking his trophy drought, but now feels it has made him motivated for more success.

"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be natural to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he explained.

"But it's given me more drive to do more and be better. I think I've shown that this year.

"I was curious in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to achieve in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.

"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.

"But for sure, I pushed myself the other way in terms of being even better, maintaining even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."

Looking Ahead

  • Future success with Bayern Munich is Kane's main focus
  • The chance of a Premier League return has considerably decreased
  • New contract talks could commence in the near future
  • Kane's remarkable goal-scoring form continues to impress
